Informal Report Assignment

(35 marks, 20% of final mark)

Your Task:

Choose a research topic that interests you and create a research question that you will attempt to answer in this project. It may be a topic you are personally interested in OR it may be relevant to current issues present in your chosen industry. You may refer to our course lessons to help your shape your topic and question.

Then, after researching the topic, present your findings by writing an unbiased, information-based report. Your report should include approximately 4 pages of information, plus a title page and reference page, for a total of approximately 6 pages. Remember to focus on short, chunked information, organized into smaller sections. The format should NOT resemble an essay with large blocks of uninterrupted text. Creativity and purpose in delivering the information effectively are valued here.

Your report should look professional, well-formatted, and visually pleasing. It should include at least 2 visual aids, included in your findings, to create the proper layout to showcase your research.

You must use at least 1 scholarly, peer-reviewed source, and at least 1 magazine or newspaper article (BOTH MUST BE FROM THE NIAGARA COLLEGE LIBRARY). You may use more sources if you wish, as long as you document them in proper IEEE format.
