Install a Windows Server 2019 virtual machine, rename it to DCxx01 (xx is your name, e.g. DCJSmith01). Assign appropriate IP addresses to the Server in your lab. Promote the machine to a domain controller and name the domain "nastxx01.local" (again xx being your name). Once the machine has been promoted, configure it be a DNS and DHCP server. Create a DHCP Scope Address Pool to lease out IP addresses to the client. Then build a Windows 10 machine if not previously installed. Make sure that it is receiving a DHCP address from the domain controller and once it has been added to the domain, the DNS record has been successfully created in DNS on the Domain Controller. Now create a new GPO and link it to the domain. This GPO will include a password policy that forces a password that has a minimum of 8 characters, and upholds default complexity. The policy should include app restriction that prevents Notepad from opening regardless of where it is.
