Instructions: For this assignment, you will pick and analyze one company to determine which of Porters four competitive strategies the company is using. You will need to do some Web research, so please keep track of the articles you read and list them as references at the end of this assignment using APA format. This assignment should be 1-2 pages long (double-spaced, 12-point font). Here are the points you should address. Please type all your answers in an MS Word document.

1. Pick one specific company that interests you (i.e., Amazon, Netflix, Honda, Target, Tesla, CVS, Walmart, Facebook, Starbucks, etc.) and briefly describe it. (10 points)

2. Research the company and identify which one of the four Porters competitive strategies this company is using (refer to figure 2-5 on pg. 43). At minimum, try to identify if the company is using a Cost or Differentiation strategy. Explain why (based on what evidence) you selected that particular strategy. (50 points)

3. Discuss one example of how the company is utilizing Information Technology (IT) or Information Systems (IS) to support their competitive strategy. If it is not apparent what type of IT/IS they are using, think of at least one technology that the company could utilize to facilitate their competitive strategy. (40 points)
