Instructions: For this milestone you will need to complete a SWOT matrix for Oregon Tech Medical Center.

Criteria for the SWOT Analysis:

Oregon Tech Medical (OTM) center is one of 7 university medical centers in the Oregon University System (OUS). OTM is currently utilizing a shared medical record system. With the changes in the university system OTM seeking new opportunities. OTM currently has an established workflow that may not be the most efficient but staff seem ok with the processes of the clinic. Providers do feel overworked with the workflow however productivity does not seem to be affected. Since OTM is a university medical center a majority of the providers on staff are new graduates or working through their residency. The physician team is abreast of new technologies and medical processes. The average turnover rate for staff is 10% with a retention rate of 90%, this is a strong retention percentage for any organization.

OTM does have limited funding due to the affiliation with OUS, with current university governance changes funding may be adjusted in the future to better fit the medical center and university.

Your task is to identify some strategic goals that OTM could take to better place the organization going into this new EMR adoption process.
