"Okay! I guess I am here because I was a straight A student at one point, but lately I've been slipping, failing some of my classes. Umm I haven't been showing up and I haven't been sleeping alot, so I tend to sleep in class as well. My parents don't know yet. I have no idea how to bring it up to them. You know they're strict. In my culture the first born son has to be like the breadwinner, the one at the top, the one who's going to take care of everybody. I don't feel like I can do that right now and its like school and good grades is all my parents every talk about. It seems like that's all they care about. So I don't know how to come to them with the stuff that I'm going through, you know? So once a year my family and I go back to China to see our relatives, but it didn't happen this year because my mom got really sick. So you know it would've been nice to go back to a place where people look like me, but it's kind of illustrate to what I been thinking about. I am one of maybe three Asian kids in the school, because its predominantly white neighborhood. I get stares from people. Uh you wanna touch my hair? No that's weird but you know whatever its the stuff like the comments that come and not just from the people on the street but from my peers, my classmates. In bio class one day I was told to go back to China. I was born here, so what are you talking about? I was walking to school the other day and some dude on the motorcycle yelled don't give me the kung flu."
