INSTRUCTIONS

Students will be divided into groups of not more than two, each group is expected to work on a project. The project will be assigned 20% of the coursework mark.

Content Assessment:

1. The assignment is a group of two students.

2. Each group is to identify a manufacturing project to produce one type of product i.e., tables, ice cream, bread ...

(1 mark) Allocate the manufacturing costs (Direct Material, Direct Labour and overheard) for your project. (4 mar ) 3.

4. Calculate the cost of producing one unit in your project. (4 mark)

5. Use the Cost-Volume-Profit techniques to calculate the break-even point in units and OMR i.e., how many tables you need to produce and sell in order to break even. (8 mark)

6. In order to make profits of OMR 2,000 per month, how many units you need to produce and sell of your product. (3 mark)
