This Assignment is to prepare a Job Advertisement for the HR Advisor position.

Background Information

Too often Job Advertisements are mundane, and do not make it appealing to attract interest from qualified HR professionals.

Or they overstate the position and give those that apply an unrealistic view of the job.

And accordingly, when a candidate is hired he/she lose interest in the job very quickly, and mentally check-out.

Also, because this is a new position, it will be important to advertise externally, along with internal advertisements. There could be a good internal candidate, but most likely an externally hired HR trained employee would provide the most value, in the service provided for the Municipality.

Requirement: To prepare an appealing, yet realistic Job Advertisement, for the HR Advisor position.

Marking Guide: A Job Advertisement that gives potential candidates a clear understanding of the job they are applying for and the qualifications needed for the position.

A Job Advertisement that provides some appeal re: the positive aspects of the Municipalitys Culture.

An example of part of a Job Advertisement that provided some sparkle regarding its Culture, is a recent Brewery Business that was looking for a 14-month contract HR Business Partner.
