Recently, Datuk Ah Long was invited to participate in a one-week experts' consultation meeting organized by the National Bank to assist in the development of better policies and governance in the banking sector. in the meeting, Datuk Ah Long was frequently in disagreement with Datuk Hasad, a business rival, who was also a participant. On the last day of the consultation, Datuk Ah Long was really upset about a statement made by Datuk Hasad to some participants. Datuk Hasad said that: \"That man is not t to lead any bank because he is "Ah Long King\". He is the "Towkay\" behind unlicensed money lending activities.
