Lean 5S

Task

1. This is a group In-Class assignment, which will be assessed (%). In your group, you are required to conduct a 5S exercise.

2. The group is to pick a scenario that would benefit from having a 5S exercise conducted upon it something/somewhere there is clutter, disarray, and general lack of organization (everyone has a clutter drawer where all the junk tends to end up!). You could consider areas of your studyspace, household, garage, workplace, or situations you have observed in stores, SAIT, School etc. In your groups start by Brainstorming different ideas as the subject of your 5S, then conduct an Affinity diagram to group different ideas, then prioritize and select your 5S area. Once you have agreed on a 5S area, demonstrate how you would execute each of the 5Ss to remove waste from the situation.
