Now consider questions 1 and 2 together with an emphasis for our purposes on legal matters. There are many ways to conduct a business. Usually we think of doing a business from 'scratch'- getting an office, opening up manufacturing, setting up a sales force, hiring employees.
But you can also set up a business through partnering with other existing businesses that can do parts of the business for you as subcontractors or independent contractors.
What should you be thinking of on behalf of the Acme's?
Usually if you want to control business absolutely you need to set it all up yourself. And that can take a lot of money.
You also need to think about who will be managing the business. Or parts of the business. If there is a difference of opinion, what happens?
Forming contracts or ventures with other existing businesses can be cheaper, but the other businesses with who you deal will want to make a profit on their part of the respective contracts.
