The objective of this laboratory is to get students familiar with basic timing, counting, positive edge trigger, and move instructions used to control two pumps' alternations based on defined calendar. Pumps are scheduled to run according to an operator pre-defined calendar. This input is expected in hours of accumulated total pump run time. The two pumps must alternate till operator switches to the Manual mode.
Laboratory Requirements:
Write a ladder logic program using the listing shown in Figure 4.3. Analyze the logic and perform the following:
Download the program and observe its behavior during the simulation run.
Define and list the IO tags and addresses used in the program.
Define and describe the function of the timer and the counter used in the logic.
Describe the process details as documented in the program.
Add brief documentation for each ladder rung.
