Instructions

Your group assignment for the Responsibilities module is to put together a Powerpoint presentation on responsibilities in MIS that will be shared with all of your classmates. This presentation must highlight the important points in the issues you discussed as a team:

• Business continuity planning and disaster recovery
• Customer/client privacy
• Responses to legal constraints (for example Sarbanes-Oxley and the Patriot Act)
• Green IT
• Accessibility
• Health problems related to computer use

Your slides on each issue should include a brief explanation of what it is and why it is important.

Your presentation should be at least 8 slides long including an overview and a conclusion. You will probably need two or three slides to address some of the more complex issues.

Your team presentation will be graded on the following:

1. For each topic: Is there a brief phrase or sentence explaining what the topic is and why it is important? Are the most important points selected for bullet items?
2. For a topic, were key points covered. Was any relevant information left out?
3. Does the presentation include an introduction and conclusion?
4. Have an additional slide citing your sources. You must use at least three sources beyond your textbook and provide real-world examples from the news or case studies you have used.
