Mark was interviewing for a position with a local non$-$union warehouse. During his interview, the manager told him that he was an excellent candidate, and that he would definitely be asked back for a final interview. Before he left the interview, Mark told the manager that he was very excited about the position, and looked forward to returning. Mark also told the manager that he was actively involved in a local union, and that if hired he would encourage his co$-$workers to vote a union into the facility. A week later, Mark received a letter stating that another candidate had been hired for the position.
