Please read through the following steps and use a blank MS Project file to create the project.

It is August of 2022 and you just developed some great new products that you hope your clients will be interested in before the holidays. You and your team are planning to create a brochure to highlight the new products that you offer and hope to have it to your clients before November 1, 2022. You are a bit worried because your Administrative Assistant is taking all Fridays off during September and October and you dont know how it will affect her tasks and if it will cause you to fall behind. (Hint: these only affect her tasks). You also know that the office is closed for business on Labor Day, Monday, September 5, 2022. You plan to start the project on September 1, 2022 and decide to use MS Project to plan this and see if you can get completed in time. (Hint: complete your startup sequence).

1. It will take one day to distribute the initial proof to all of the necessary departments. You are giving everyone one week of business to review the initial proof and corresponding documents. After that week, your administrative assistant should take two days to updates and revisions that were sent. Once she has updated them she will send out the revised proof and await approval, which takes one day. If she doesnt get any rejections after that day the project will carry on. Plan for no rejections and the project will continue. Your milestone of the initial proof being approved has been met! All of these tasks can be summarized in a group called Prepare for Graphics. At this point, be sure to save your file as Your Name Exam 1 Step 1, just in case you make a mistake and need to come back to this point.

1. Immediately after it is approved, the Joe in the Graphics Department will start to work on the artwork needed for the brochure. You make a note of his name in this task so you can remember who your contact is. Working on the artwork requires 2 weeks of work to complete. After the brochure is completed by Graphics, the final copy will be sent to you for a final approval, giving you only one day to approve it before they send it to the printer. The printer also needs the client address list that your administrative assistant needs to create. You tell her to begin to create and send the list as soon as the final copy is sent to you for approval. Searching the database for a detailed list of clients you requested the brochures to be sent should take her two days. Once complete, the proof and client list are emailed to the ABC Printing Company, making your second milestone complete. You summarize these tasks as your Graphics Work tasks. (Hint: be careful of your indenting here!) At this point, be sure to save your file to the desktop as Your Name Exam 1 Step 2.

1. Your final group of tasks will be summarized as Printing and Mailing. The ABC Printing manager lets you know they can take on the job and will take 8 days to print the 10,000 brochures. However, they are delayed with a big print order and your job will not begin to print any earlier than Monday, October 17, 2022. You are worried about this, and he assured you that the printer runs continuously, even while they are not there. ABC Printing Company then prepares the brochures for mailing by adding postage and labels. This task will take two days and they will start it when there is only one day left of printing. The mailing process takes 4 business days. Once the clients receive them you can proudly say that this milestone is complete!
