Create Effective Job Application Materials In this assessment, students will create a cover letter that demonstrates a customized message to highlight the value of the applicant and has evidence the applicant researched the company. Assignment Save or print a job advertisement or announcement from (a) a job board such as Indeed; (b) LinkedIn, Glassdoor, or a mobile app such as JobAware and JobCmpass; (c) a company website; (d) a professional association listing; or the classified section of a newspaper, online or in print. Select an advertisement or announcement describing the kind of employment you are seeking now or plan to seek when you graduate. You will attach this announcement to the cover letter you will write for this position. Using the resources and examples provided in this module, create a cover letter for the position you found and saved or printed. The cover letter must demonstrate evidence you researched the position as well as the company. Demonstrate clear evidence that you spent time and effort on your cover letter.
