Example:
An employee is trying to do what is right for the customer but the manager doesn't agree. Said slams his fists on the employees desk, tells them to shut up and that their opinion doesn't matter.
Employee reports the manager to the ethics hotline because they dont feel safe going to the managers manager.
The ethics hotline sends the report to the CEO who takes immediate action. Interviews are conducted with the employee who reported the behavior and others who witnessed it
The manager who was reported is put on an action plan to correct the behavior and the reporting employee is assured there will be no retribution.
This manger goes on to get into a physical altercation with another employee at an offsite job function. Immediately, he is let go once this is reported because he has violated his action plan and that was his final warning.
