Sometimes because change is done too late it is done without being too well thought out and is harsh rather than being done with well planning and made into a smooth process.Why are we so stubborn in accepting the inevitable? As a company grows change is necessary to accommodate the new employees and higher production. One thing pointed out in this article is that sometimes managers want to workout too many details in advance and not leave much room for a "what if" situation so when something that comes along they weren't expecting it doesn't throw them off so easily. There needs to be more room to change their plans and a little more leniency to do so. Looking to the future is important to set goals however, having the flexibility to be open and make changes is just as important to any organizations growth.
