Need Specification Activity

For this assignment, assume that you work in a purchasing department. The following organizational needs have been identified. You job is to create a specification (description of the need) for each of the following things that can be used to communicate effectively with potential suppliers. Unfortunately, the needs that were identified may be lacking some information that is necessary. In real life, you would want to contact the person who identified the need to get answers, but for this assignment, you will just have to make your best guess to specify what is needed.

1. Replacement tires for ten Ford F-150 super duty trucks that are driven mainly on dirt roads (off highway). These need to be installed in four weeks (or less) from the due date for this assignment.
2. 1000 T-shirts (with the company logo printed on them) that will be used for a promotion.
3. 2700 A manufactured parts (your item # 22x23, you suppliers number XCV345, Blueprint/Engineering design # D9876) that will be assembled with other parts to complete products that your company is selling. For this item, describe
   1. What you would need to communicate to an existing supplier for a complete specification
   2. What you would need to communicate to a new supplier for a complete specification.

Using relevant concepts from the assigned reading on this topic, identify the type(s) of specification methods that choose to use and briefly explain why each method is appropriate. Then use the method(s) to create a specification for each of these three products. You may find that a specification method this is appropriate for one product is not appropriate for all products, so make your specification method choices product specific. Your written specification should not be longer than page for each of these items. If your specification would include any kind of artwork, blueprints, or other technical /supplemental material, you may assume that these are available and will be included by you specifically describing/referencing them and stating that they are included with the specifications you dont have to create any of these technical/supplemental items, just identify them in sufficient detail that your assistant could easily identify them and include them with a purchase order.
