1.Explain why hardware devices that are specifically designed for security can give a much higher level of protection than standard networking devices can provide a degree of security.

3.What are the two ways that packets can be filtered by a firewall: stateless packet filtering and stateful packet filtering. Explain the difference

4.What actions can a firewall can take several when it receives a packet, (such as allow (let the packet pass through and continue on its journey), block (prevent the packet from passing to the network by dropping it), or prompt (ask what action to take).

5.Discuss the difference between a rule-based firewall and an application-aware firewall. Refer to the example of how each filter specific web applications.

6.Discuss the various options for filtering spam on a network. Explain that a filter can be installed that works with the receiving email server.
