Now that you've found that the half-full cup is more stable than either the empty cup or the full cup, you are wondering whether the fact that the fluid in a cup will keep a horizontal surface makes the system more or less stable on tipping. Just as you didn't look for the most stable level in the previous example, but rather looked at one intermediate level to check where the most stable angle was in general, you won't use a fluid in this one.
