Objective:

1. Working with your Team, develop a Hoshin Kanri Outline following the steps given in CH 3, 4, and 5 of the Hoshin Kanri course book. This is a critical-thinking and problem-solving activity that allows a Team to discuss the relevant issues pertaining to the assignment as well as the overall improvement goals and objectives of Company A. 2. Develop a working Hoshin Kanri Plan using the Hoshin Kanri worksheets and matrices to address a given operational case scenario listed below. Case Scenario - Company A: This company produces widgets using an input (raw materials); transformation (manufacturing); and output (shipping) operational process. Core objectives are listed below; what strategic goals can your Team determine that align with these objectives and what example metrics would be used to measure the outcomes of your plans? (Hoshin Kanri Text, page 24). You are free to explore the examples given in the book, however, you can also substantiate ones of your own. The key is to maintain tangibility between the strategic goals and core objectives.
