Evaluating sources of information is an important skill for both academics and professionals. We live in a time where infinite amounts of information are available at the click of a button. This assignment will have you research information for a $$fictitious$$ paper, on a topic of your choice, and critically evaluate sources on a chosen topic.

During our Wk $2$ class, we will have covered methods for you to evaluate the credibility of web resources. You can select a topic to research that you are interested in$,$ or I have provided $4$ general topics if you can$$t come up with one of your own.

Your assignment requires you to go through the research process of your topic and provide $3$ credible web sources that you would utilize to write this $$Fictious$$ paper. You will not be writing the paper; you will be coming up $3$ sources and answer the questions about the sources you selected.

Step $1$: Select a topic. How to narrow down your topic.

$1.)$ Topic should be interesting

$2.)$ Topic should need to be researched

$3.)$ Topic is significant enough to have information on it

$4.)$ Topic is appropriate for a school or work environment

Or

Choose one of the following general topics.

$1)$ Ergonomics$-$how to maintain your physical health while working in an office environment?

$2)$ Meetings$-$how technology has changed the landscape in how we meet and communicate?

$3)$ Globalization$-$when businesses $$go global$$ how does this impact the workforce in term of diversity and cultural challenges?

$4)$ The flexible workforce$-$new contingent worker situations to aid in inclusiveness and working outside of the $9-5$ Mon$-$Fri regimen.

Once you have selected a topic and have done some research, be sure to keep track of the websites you would select to use, to provide me and then answer the following questions for each of the $3$ resources.

Answer the following questions for each source selected

$2.)$ What are the authors credentials? Do they fit to the content of the source?

$3.)$ Is the information current? When was it published?

$4.)$ Is the information back by evidence or is it an opinion piece?

$5.)$ Does the author cite their sources?

$6.)$ Who is the publisher of this piece? Are there conflicting interests?

$7.)$ Does this source add new information to the topic you are researching?

$8.)$ Do you think this is a credible source? Why or why not?
