Student Plan: Utilize Creativity and Avoid Procrastination 01. MY IMPRESSIONS OF THE COURSE I will organize the notes I have made for the course by showing highlights and key concepts. I will turn my impressions into active predictions by describing where I see the course heading and explaining what I believe I can contribute to the course. 02. HOW I WILL ORGANIZE MY COURSES THIS SEMESTER I will create detailed notes for each of my courses to help understand the big picture and to stay focused. For example, underneath each course on my weekly schedule I can plan a daily routine. My routine may include the amount of time I need each week for reading, writing and other academic exercises. 03. A CREATIVE DISPLAY OF MY COURSE SCHEDULE I will create a plan that allows me to combine work and play. This may include notes for when I can make phone calls, visit a gym or go for a walk, spend time for leisure activities or relaxation. I will show a relationship between my daily routines and my academic work schedule. 04. ACTIVITIES AND HOBBIES: HOW I CHANNEL WHAT I LOVE INTO MY STUDIES I will make note of my inspirations. This may include a chance encounter that I was able to draw from to complete an assignment. I describe the new things I have learned or encountered on my academic journey. This will help me to understand the process of learning by summarizing events that have been steppingstones for success in my courses or social life. 05. STUDENT PHILOSOPHY: HOW I WILL REACH MY ACADEMIC GOALS I will make a plan that I will carry forward into next semester. I will ask myself what the next steps on my academic journey are? I will describe the courses I would like to take or that I am required to take. Here I will take note of the course materials I will likely have to acquire or the changes that I will need to make to my academic approach. Ideas and insight may range from texts, calculators, online resources and access or organizing my office space.
