BUS8600 Case Study Assignment (20% of final mark) You will be assigned an end-of-chapter Case Study from our textbook. You will conduct your analysis and recommendations of this Case through the persona of the new CEO, hired to bring about positive and effective change, including solving the key problems identified in your assigned Case. Use some of the Change Management concepts that you have learned so far to analyze the current problems and make recommendations and an implementation plan. This assignment should be written in a clear and coherent style and include in-text citations and APA references. Your final submission should be approximately 7 pages in 12-point font (not including title page and references) and include: Title Page Executive Summary (1 page) Briefly summarize the case, identifying only those case factors which have a direct bearing on your analysis (1-2 paragraphs). Briefly summarize the key problems that you have identified which relate to Change Management concepts (1 paragraph). Briefly summarize your recommendations for effective change (1 paragraph). Awakening: Problem & Gap Analysis and Vision for Change (2 pages) What are the key problems that are inciting the need for change? What are the impacts and what are the risks if we do not change? What are the gaps between the current state and the desired state? What is your Vision for Change? How will this inspire change through communication and leadership behaviour? Mobilization: Changing systems and culture; Stakeholder Analysis (2 pages) How will you realign systems and structures to support the change? What is the anticipated impact? Create a Stakeholder Map using the factors on page 214 in the eText. What are the key issues of power dynamics and organizational culture that need to be a focus? How will you navigate these? Acceleration: Recommendations & Implementation (2 pages) At least 3 Recommendations to solve key problems were insightful and demonstrated as reasonable solutions through the application of Change Management concepts.
