Question:
- One of the students in your school was referred to you for having low self-esteem and trying always to please his peers, even if it means getting involved in illegal and/or unethical activities. This is a grade 10 student who was always a straight A student. Now his grades are deteriorating quickly, and he is involved with a group of peers who are troublemakers. He has sour relations with his parents and most of his teachers.
Using the Person-Centered approach, show how you can deal with this student to improve his situation. Write your answers as a dialogue that takes place between you (T) and the student (S). The dialogue may consist of 3-4 sessions, or 5 if needed.
Show the elements of Rogerian therapy in this dialogue and indicate/highlight their types (congruence, unconditional positive regard, and Empathic understanding) throughout the dialogue
