Open with Google Docs Economic journal Purpose: To provide students with an awareness of the current economic scene and changes in Ontario, Canada and the international scene. Instructions: 1. Students will analyze five articles during the semester related to economics by business writers in the Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star or the Financial Post. Internet versions of these articles are acceptable 2. Students are to arrange each article chronologically in a scrapbook along with the following information: a) Summary of the Article 15 marks focus on the title of the article and look for evidence to support the key points b) Cause-Effect predictions for the Canadian Economy 15 marks use three "if...then" statements showing the economics impact on the Canadian economy c) Personal Opinions (normative statement) 10 marks two points about what you think "should" be done to better the Canadian economy d) Two relevant, open-ended questions 10 marks questions cannot be answered with yeso, with one word and the answers to each question are not the same.
