The Bill of Rights were established by the founding fathers of the United States to protect the freedom and liberties of the individuals from being infringed upon by governing authorities. The bill of rights is comprised of amendments that states what privileges individuals are entitled to. Although these rights are in effect, there are some rights of individuals that are, intentionally and unintentionally, violated on a regular basis. The fourth amendment appears to be a right of individuals that seems to be violated the most. The fourth amendment protects the right of individuals "to be secure in their persons, houses, papers and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures" (Bohm, 2021, p. 107). During many encounters that law enforcement officials have with individuals, the fourth amendment is violated. In most cases, this amendment is violated inadvertently. For example, when a terry frisk is conducted by a law enforcement officer, it can turn into to an unreasonable search if not conducted properly or without probable cause for the transition. These incidents generally occur when the investigating officer(s) lack raining and understanding of the law. According to Eang L.
