This assignment consists of developing a Marketing Plan Process document for the following scenario.
The Ontario Hockey League has decided on a new location for the League's newest expansion team based on the recommendation from the expansion committee (from Assignment 2). Now that the expansion location has been determined, the expansion franchise's ownership group needs to develop a business plan.
The ownership group (group members) wants to grow their business aggressively.
Therefore, there needs to be a detailed, accurate, and practical plan on how to grow the business as quickly as possible.
Project Teams
Students will work in groups of three (3) to five (5) for this assignment. Students may not complete this assignment as an individual. The group will remain the same from the previous assignments). Instructor reserves the right to add or remove members from the group as required.
Components
Each group will be responsible for developing a business plan for the new OHL expansion team (based on each group's respective location selection in Assignment 2). Students are expected to create a Marketing Planning Process document, following the five steps outlined in Chapter 2:
1. Develop vision, mission, and values
2. Develop strategic goals and objectives
3. Develop a ticket marketing, sales, and service plan
4. Develop a framework for integrating the marketing plan into operations
5. Determine a process for ongoing evaluation
