After part one, you should have a better understanding of your intentions while you set out on your pursuit of the best fit for your career! General Instructions
All assignments are due by the date indicated in the syllabus and BlackBoard.
Present in the form of a report with the headings and subheadings accordingly.
The submission must be grammatically correct and free from spelling errors.
All submissions must be made in Microsoft Word or PDF format readable by a PC via BlackBoard submission. Other file types (ZIP, RAR, MAC versions I am unable to open, and will not be marked).
No late submissions will be accepted. Any paper deemed to be contrary to Georgian Colleges policies on Academic Integrity (below) will immediately receive a zero and further disciplinary action may result.
INSTRUCTIONS - Present a personal portfolio which includes the following:
Your long-form professional bio. (Take the time to really flesh this out. Think about your past accomplishments and be sure to include them and explain how they helped to define who you are and what you have to offer. Relate back to the work we have done in class and on past assignments in this course. Research long-form bios online and see what comprises a proper long-form bio).
Your professional photo. Get a professional-looking photo taken. This must be appropriate for use in media such as LinkedIn, etc. Use the resources we discussed in class to get a photo done. You will be thankful for this. A professional photo can be one of the most important aspects of your personal marketing.
Your branded resume. (Take the time to craft this accordingly. Draw on all of the things we have covered in class. If you wish to use a logo, use the resources discussed in class. Put some real effort into this. This is YOUR resume. make sure it is professional and complete).
Your business (personal) card. (Use the resources we discussed in class. There are many online resources available to you. If you are not adept in design software, then get creative. Use the techniques we discussed in class to your advantage).
At least two letters of recommendation. (This is your opportunity to compile some references for your use. If you are unsure of where to start, refer to the resources we discussed in class. Having solid references will make all the difference in the world when it comes to you, your brand and your career. Take this very seriously. It can be a game-changer).
A list of awards, certifications, accomplishments, volunteer work, etc. Anything that gives you credibility, helps you stand out above others and adds value to your worth (aka earning potential) Includes things like (but not limited to) certificates, Deans List letter etc. (If you only have physical copies, take a pic and add it to the word docs, or if its digital add it to the word/pdf doc.PART #2 Let the building begin!
