To reach a transition table, we must choose an efficient assignment of state, which produces simple expressions for next state variables and system outputs. There are rules to try to help us in our choices:
Rule I Two or more present states which have the same next state for a specific combination of input should be made adjacent;
Rule II For any present state and two adjacent combinations of inputs, the next two states should be made adjacent;
Rule III Two or more present states which produce the same output symbol ie or for a specific combination of inputs should be made adjacent. This rule should only be applied to one of the output symbols.
Repeat section a of this problem, and try to find an assignment that satisfies as much as possible the state adjacency recommended by rules given above. Compare your expressions to those in part a Use the same method discussed in class and show your final state assignment card.
