You interview someone (not a student in this class or sibling) and while respecting their opinion, just ask the following questions. You are not to make any personal judgement while interviewing (like expressing your agreement or disagreement with what they say). You must identify who you interviewed and briefly describe their background. (For example a neighbour, parent, older relative.) What is your personal theory on why people commit crime? (eg: need, mental illness, poverty, thrill) Why do you believe that? (where did you get your information) What do you think could change people from involvement in crime? What do you think reinforces the public's opinions towards crime? If you could, what law would you immediately change? Why? Provide a brief transcript of the answers and then evaluate and decide which criminological theory (or theories) the person you interviewed most resembles from what you have learned so far about criminological theories
