1.) Personally, before I started this course I would believe being tech-savvy is to display your understanding through software such as Microsoft Office. Nowadays, tech-savvy has evolved into understanding extra applications than simply the basics, just like the fine details of the software program and apps utilized by the employee on a daily basis. After reading chapter 1, you can tell that an IT-savvy firm is one that foundation is created on the idea of using data and software to make business decisions. Additionally, they use a digital platform to build their knowledge on how to create more revenue and compete in the market.

2.) The 3 main focuses on and IT-Savvy from:

1- Fix what's broken about IT, which concentrates on having a transparent vision on how IT will support business operations and a well-understood funding model. For example, a company that has an issue of underperformance in the memory of data might need to find a solution like building a strong software that can contain an abundance of storage to perform the daily tasks of that specific firm.

2- Build a digitized platform, to get strong at the core of your business operations will lead to more stability and reliability of the process used for the firm. The platform idea may be a powerful one and may drive towards significant operational efficiency and strategic advantage. For example, one of the most powerful digitized platforms is Google, which has used its platform to service people in obtaining information in multiple routes such as apps, videos, etc.

3- Exploit the platform for growth, which means to get value from the digital platform you build as a firm. the firm will require an entire organizational change that will lead management in the direction of more profit. The challenge of this step in the firm is to have strong leadership that can maintain a major business change and grows at the same time. A perfect example of exploiting growth could be on a social media platform where a firm could grow by attracting more consumers using popular platforms such as Twitter and Instagram.
