please give feedback on the usage of the scientific method and how you can improve its use:

1. Make an Observation I have 2 dogs at home and they are very reactive when people knock on the door, enter my house, or even make noise outside the house.

2. Ask a question Will rewarding them with a treat when they stop barking teach them to not bark?

3. Form a Hypothesis Training with treats will condition my dogs that not barking is the desired behavior.

4. Experimentation. Everyday I spend 30 min training my dogs. I rang the doorbell, knocked on the door, and also had my friend walk in and out. Each time they barked I waited with a treat until they stopped then rewarded them with a treat. Each time they barked less and instead waited for a treat.

5. Draw a Conclusion Rewarding my dogs with a treat rather than yelling at them to stop or saying "No" improved their reactions to noise and people coming into the house. Instead of barking at every noise, they bark only randomly and not frequently.
