Diversification vs. localization Case Study Introduction We live in a country with only 31% of its population are Nationals, and the remaining are mix of Arabs, Asians, Westerns and others. Businesses in Kuwait must strive to mirror the population in their own organizations - from recruitment perspective - In order to gain competitive advantage. Businesses need to access and understand the different nationalities from one end, and become a targeted employer as a result of adapting Diversity and Inclusion from the other end. One of the major subjects in Kuwait that may be considered a challenge for adapting Diversification is the government mandated quota to hire nationals. Quotas range between 15% in to more than 70% in Telecom and Banking industries. Justifiably, this is the right way forward to invest in the citizens of the country and give them priority in hiring, but organizations must find innovative ways to succeed in adapting D&I while complying to the government localization quota. Research Methodology You need to select the research methodology that you would like to use, with the aim to fully understand the challenge, and measure how successful Kuwaiti organizations in achieving the localization Quota, while adapting the Diversification and Inclusion You can either select Qualitative Method (Interviewing minimum of 3 HR managers or organization leaders). You also may refer to previously published research (Not only in Kuwait, you may look at other GCC to understand what they are doing). Or you can select Quantitative method (Surveys or Questionnaires) to a minimum of 10 organization leaders. Or you could choose both methods.
