1) Ingredient mix is one of the applications of linear optimization. Other applications include product mix, schedule planning, transportation problem. Do an online research on the ingredient mix problem and describe what it is, describe some real world examples to which the ingredient mix problem is applied and how linear optimization is used to used to recommend an optimal solution to the problem? 2) Transshipment model is a model that like transportation model can be formulated as a Linear Program and solved using the solver functionality in Excel. Use online research on what the Transshipment model is, how it differs from the Transportation model and how it can be formulated as a Linear Program.
