Our group has been hired as a consultant to analyze a company specified by the faculty. The company

for review in our Executive Case Report will be: ENMAX

This Executive Report represents the results of your analysis and should include:

A professional introduction outlining the purpose of your work and an overview of the Company and

the industry in which it operates.

Outline of the company's vision and mission including your assessment of their appropriateness.

Where vision or mission statements are not apparent, develop $($and defend$)$ statements you consider

appropriate for the firm.

External Analysis: Using the concepts and tools $($PESTEL$,$ Five Forces Model$)$ of Chapter $3,$ conduct an

analysis of the macro and industry environments in which this company operates and present your

findings in terms of the opportunities and threats they represent for this firm.

Internal Analysis: Using the concepts and tools $($VRIN Assessment, Value Chain analysis$)$ of Chapter $4,$

conduct an analysis of the company and present your findings in terms of the strengths and weaknesses

they represent.

Analysis of business strategy: With direct reference to the five generic strategies outlined in Chapter

$5,$ discuss which business strategy is currently used by this company and assess the effectiveness of that

choice.

Identification of a core issue or opportunity: Considering all your analysis, identify for this company

the most significant opportunity to be pursued or critical issue to be dealt with? Justify your conclusion

with appropriate rationale.

Recommendation: Provide your recommendation for this company to most effectively act on the

opportunity or issue you have identified. Your recommendation should be reflective of core

competencies the company possesses $($or needs to develop$)$ and it should be detailed enough to

illustrate its effectiveness.
