Here is the question

IV. Complete the Self-Control Assessment

  1. The assessment is located on Blackboard in the November 22-23 & 29-December 3 Personality & Leadership Self-Assessments folder.
  2. Obtain your results from the assessment by following the scoring instructions. Provide your score.
  3. Is your score consistent with your MBTI personality type? In what ways does it appear consistent? In what ways might it appear inconsistent?

For example, ISTJs like the conventional, preferring rules and structure. Would this be consistent with a high or low score on self-control?

  1. Is your score consistent with a preferred high self-control score in the Leadership Motive Pattern?

Here is my assessment result.

Self-Control Scale*

For each of the following items, indicate whether you strongly disagree (1), moderately disagree (2), slightly disagree (3), neither disagree nor agree (4), slightly agree (5), moderately agree (6), or strongly agree (7). Circle the number indicating your response.

1. I am good at resisting temptation. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

2. I do certain things that are bad for me, if they are fun. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

3. People would say that I have iron self-discipline. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

6. Sometimes I cant stop myself from doing something, even if I know it is wrong. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

7. I often act without thinking through all the alternatives. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

Scoring Instructions:

Items 2, 4, 6, & 7 must be reversed scored. If you strongly agreed (7) with these items, it would indicate a low level of self-control. A low score (1, strongly disagree), would indicate a high level of self-control.

Reverse score these four items using the following guidelines:

A score of 7 becomes a 1

A score of 6 becomes a 2

A score of 5 becomes a 3

A score of 4 stays a 4

A score of 3 becomes a 5

A score of 2 becomes a 6

A score of 1 becomes a 7

After reverse scoring items 2, 4, 6, & 7, sum your scores for the 7 items to calculate your total Self-control score:

Total Self-control score ____48___
