Interviewed (Swiss Chalet manager)

- As a manager you are responsible with overall operations in the organization such as: Ensures Food, Service and Cleanliness Quality standards. Ensures achievement of prepared sales forecast. Ensures store profitability. Conceptualizes and implements effective and timely Local Store. Marketing Programs with the objective of improving market awareness and sales. Ensures implementation of operational systems and procedures such as cash and security control, kitchen management, crisis management, customer service, etc. Analyzes financial statement. Controls customer complaints and coordinates any crisis occurrences with the Crisis Management Committee. Ensures accuracy of month-end inventory conducted in the store. Ensures proper training of all new employees, ensuring their awareness and compliance to company standards, policies, rules and regulations and work procedures. Ensures manpower readiness at all times by doing timely hiring, regularizing and promoting following HR guidelines and procedures. Coaches, leads, directs, disciplines and motivates

Management Team and staff towards a more productive individual and group performance. Conducts one-on-one or group meeting ensuring that all operational and emplovee concerns are discussed and resolved or improved. Evaluates performance of Management Team and staff as scheduled. Monitors and sees to it that the corporate trademarks (signboards, streamers, uniform) are standard and well maintained.

Coordinates closely with other departments in all matters that affect store operations. Creates and maintains tie-ups with government, NGOs and private business establishments seeing to it that the company is properly represented.

The Assistant Manager position recruits, leads and develops people to execute QSC & V. build sales and control costs to deliver optimum business results for an area of accountability. Key Guests include Crew, Shift Managers and Guests.

People

Demonstrates and reinforces the leadership behaviors and basic people minimums (uniforms, Crew schedules, rap sessions, etc.) necessary to gain commitment from Crew.

Executes a plan, based on an employee loyalty measurement, to increase employee's loyalty, satisfaction and pride with the McDonald's experience.

Knows, enforces and educates Crew all appropriate personnel policies, labor laws, security and safety procedures.

Recruits, selects and retains an optimum number of Crew and shift management who are enthusiastically dedicated to guest loyalty.

Manages the development and training of Crew and shift management employees, including Crew initial and follow-up orientations.

Completes and presents performance appraisals based on defined goals and objectives for their employees in a timely manner.

QC/Sales Building

  • Maintains critical standards for raw and finished product quality, service speed and quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Models performance standards for all Crew stations and maintenance as needed.
  • Executes plan, based on guest loyalty measurement, to improve quest's experience and increase their loyalty.
  • Manages shift without supervision. Prepares shift changeover for the next manager.
  • Effectively supports national and co-op promotions to maximize sales potential.
  • Supports Store Local Marketing plans to maximize sales potential within the community. Assists in the implementation of new products and procedures.

Safety/Sanitation/Security

Properly executes, enforces and manages all food safety and sanitation requirements and practices.

Ensures all security procedures are executed (cash deposits, staggered method of open/close etc.)

Profit Controls assigned Profit and Loss line items.

Controls food components, labor, waste and cash while managing shift.

Administration

  • Ensures that wage and hour policies and procedures are followed. Uses proper security and verification procedures when handling deposits and contents of the safe.
  • Maintain records for safety and appropriately documents contributions and performance in personnel file.

Completes assigned daily paperwork, weekly inventories and OCR reports.
