Write a "technical basis document" for an internal dosimetry program. The facility for which this document will be used processes 237Np and 65Zn oxides in amounts that justify routine bioassay. Use ICRP 60 and 78 methodologies. You should have any technical references that you need. Assume MDAs for bioassay analyses are 1/5 of the MTLs given in ANSI HPS N13.30 Tables 2 and 3. Include: Justification for the program (including how much material needs to be present to justify) Monitoring objectives and capabilities for each type of monitoring including discussion of minimum detectable dose. Decision levels and derived levels for each monitoring. Routine monitoring: Requirements for participation - Bioassay types used and monitoring frequencies Personal air sampling (if appropriate) and its capabilities for those particular radionuclides Special/operational monitoring: Workplace indicators and response Early sampling methodologies Follow-up actions Quality control/confirmatory monitoring
