Please make sure that all your outputs/results including the graphs should be presented in a single word/pdf file. However, you also need to upload your excel file to support your results.

Part 1.

Choose a country (or a region) and conduct a short macro-analysis to understand the relationship between the aggregate securities market and the aggregate economy. Your analysis should include at least 2 macroeconomic indicators, including at least one leading indicator. For each indicator:

- provide a short description,

- explain how it relates to the securities market (you can use correlation/regressions, etc to support your analysis), and

- explain what it shows in terms of the expected movements in securities markets (consider trends, rates of change, the direction of change, comparison with previous cycles).

This assignment will also test the ability to find appropriate data sources (try to think broadly and look into IMF, World Bank and other databases).
