PLEASE READ AND ANSWER QUESTION.

  • We are in week 11 of a 12 week project and the following items were discussed in our project team meeting. Review the person who noted the issue and their title is listed in the comments:
  • Green: Project Manager: We budgeted 12k for the project, and have spent 15k to date (we are 3k over budget), we estimate another 3k of costs before the project is completed
  • White: Finance Manager: The reason behind the extra 3k is cost is that the project needs to be extended for 3 more weeks and our average cost per week rate is about 1k per week
  • Colonel Mustard: IT Delivery Manager: (in response to a non-IT task that will impact IT work) We fell behind because we really didnt know who was assigned to specific tasks and now that we only have a few tasks left we are managing these outstanding tasks to complete in 3 weeks
  • Scarlett: New Manager in charge of department performing non-IT work: Additionally, the first three weeks we spent training the staff on how to perform the work as we didnt know they didnt have the skills to perform the work
  • Green: Project Manager: Our project may also be another week behind schedule due to a contract that is at risk for non-delivery which will impact our delivery date by one day. If we receive the item prior to the last day, we should be able to make our delivery. For every day the project slips, we will fall one day behind on delivery of the product. We dont know who in the organization is managing this contract. Also, the agreed upon price is not available and weve looked everywhere.
