Aligning Your Project Plan to the People

• How far can existing employee roles be used to implement your game plan? What new roles will be needed?

I believe the current employee roles could be implemented with the game plan with minimal changes. Since the nursing services given to elderly who living in their homes is basically the same to the one who are resident at our premises. The significant change of roles will mostly on time and workplace. Basically the schedule for the nurses will change as sometimes they will be required to report to private resident to attend to the elderly instead of coming to work in our premises.

• What type of hiring and training resources will be required to support the new project?

Since the new game plan requires we increase the nurses. Therefore, hiring committee will be created to handle the hiring process. In addition, two trainer will be contracted to train the new nurses and the existing nurses on how to handle the elderly veterans in their family homes. I recognize that the work environment at family home is different from our premises thus new skills are needed especially on how to deal with their primary caregivers.

• How do any changes in employee roles align with the culture and goals of the organization?

The changes in employee role to serve the elderly veterans directly in their family homes, aligns with culture and goals of the organization in the following ways:

• It broadens the reach of care to the elderly veterans.

• It honors the elderly veterans in our society through bringing nursing services to them.

• Finally, it shows our commitment to providing nursing services for veterans in our community.

• How will you make your slide deck easy to digest and skim through, while still presenting a convincing point of view?

• First I will organize the content in a readable manner- will ensure the audience are familiar with the words.

• Second, I will organize the point in headings- to give emphasis on the important content.

• Third, I will keep the writing to a minimum- therefore most the writing will be in point form.

• Finally, I will use recommendation tree format- that is use key words/heading to branch similar ideas/points (Duarte, 1).
