Finish reading and watching Marlowe's Doctor Faustus and consider the similarities and differences between the ending of the play in "A" text, the excerpt from the "B" text, and in the source text, The Historie of Doctor Faustus. Use this week's written response to examine one or more of these similarities and differences and to craft your own ending to the play (a "C" text). What do you find most compelling or off-putting about the "A" text, "B" text, and Historie endings (include act, scenes, line, or page numbers wherever possible)? How would you rewrite the end of Doctor Faustus? Describe the changes you would make, and explain the rationale behind your choices.
