The oil viscosity required for pipeline transportation is 300cp. You have unlimited quantities of an 11API heavy oil ("HO") and a steady supply of 10,000bbl/ day of a 28 API lighter oil ("LO") that you MUST use. However, even after mixing these two oils the viscosity is too high for pipeline transportation. One option is to dilute it even further with a46API solvent ("S1"). Provide an estimate of the daily volume of solvent (S1) that you need to purchase such that the oil reaches target viscosity of 300cp. The following items guide you on what is required.
