1. Prepare a network diagram of a certain project using PERT method (search the net for examples on PERT). The report should Include: list of activities, the relationship between activities, the duration of each activity. Each activity will have 3 values (a, m, b) and the expected value for each activity duration will be calculated.

2. Draw the network diagram using AON, AOA methods. Then calculating the project duration using PERT (use the three values of activity duration). Calculating expected time, standard deviation and variance for each activity.

3. Calculate the project expected duration, standard deviation and variance using the three values of the activities duration (a, m, b) for PERT.

4. Calculation the project duration for AOA and AON using only the m values for the activities duration; the most likely values for each activity.

5. Determine the critical activities and the critical paths based on the results of point 3 and 4 above.

6. Discuss briefly the important of planning and its effects on the project impact on the economics and environment in general.

7. Compare the different planning solution, select the best solution (most economical solution) and justify your selection.

8. Examine the interest of the different parties in a projects, i.e. clients, main contractor, subcontractors and the consultant.
