It will start running in forward direction 10 seconds after the forward button is pressed. When the reverse button is pressed, it starts running in the reverse direction after 10 seconds. When the stop button is pressed, the motor stops immediately.

Problem 3) Design a ladder diagram for the figure given below to be applied to a PLC system considering the following steps:
The system is started by pressing the spring-released push button "Go", and stops when "stop" switch is pressed at any stage.
When a part is placed on the conveyor at position 1, it automatically moves to position 2.
Upon reaching position 2, if the part is metal (LS2 senses metal) a part is detected, conveyor stops and the press ram will advance down(by means of Dn) to the bottom limit switch(LSDN) and part is stamped.
The press will then retract the ram(by means of Up) until the top limit switch(LSUP) is contacted, and the ram will be stopped.
After stamping, conveyor automatically moves to position 3.
(If part is a metal there is no stamping process and conveyor doesn't stop at position 2)
It stops at 3, where the part is removed manually from the conveyor. Assume only one part is on the conveyor at a time. .
