Progress Report $1$ Guidelines

Progress report $1$ focus is all about requirement analysis. In requirement analysis you are

expected to understand the application domain of your project. This includes the following:

$1.$ Determination of your prospective customer$$s needs.

$2.$ The business impact of your proposal.

$3.$ The projected interaction of your system with your customers $($without going into

technical details$)$

$4.$ The functional and none functional requirements of your proposed system.

The expected deliverables for your progress report are:

$1.$ Business Case

$2.$ Problem or issue statement

$3.$ Revenue Model

$4.$ Functional Requirements

$5.$ None Functional Requirements

$6.$ Use Case Diagrams

The documentation above will become part of your final project at the end of the semester.

Format of the presentation:

Software is part of the commodity in the business spectrum hence most of the time it exists

because business organizations develop it for profit. As a software engineer, you must know how

to sell your software product to investors hence you are required to present a revenue model for

your proposal.

$1.$ Each group will decide their company name which will also become their group name.

$2.$ As a company, the group should have a CEO which will lead the presentation. Other

group members can also present.

$3.$ Each group will be given a maximum of $25$ minutes for the entire presentation. The group

should be available for the question and answer portion after their presentation.

$4.$ The group will present their proposal in the class. The members of the class will act as

possible investors.
