Objective: To practice the thought processes of the "defining" and "creating" phases by initiating a simple project using MS Word/ MS Excel & MS Project.
Assignment: You have decided to remodel your Kitchen at home. Complete the instructions below.
You don't have to be a construction manager or even a self-made carpenter to solve this problem. Simply approach it from the perspective of a person who wants a nicer Kitchen. If you know a little bit about construction, you could actually schedule the work tasks to complete the remodel.
MS WORD DOCUMENT
Part 1 Create the Project Charter. Include a statement about the level of quality desired. Check templates in Blackboard Due Date Jan/8/2023
Part 2. Identify10-15+ tasks and corresponding durations (lengths in days).
Part 3. Using MS Project, enter each task and its corresponding estimated duration. Create the Gant chart and Network diagram. Identify the Critical Path. Include a screen capture (Gant chart and Network diagram) in the word document.
Part 4. Identify at least 3 pieces of equipment.
Part 5. Establish an overall budget for the project something to literally take to the bank, use MS Excel.
