Provide a 300- to 500-word substantiated summary on how your research question(s) align with the study’s purpose and place the references in the reference section.
Purpose Statement
The purpose of this proposed qualitative study is to explore rate of overcrowding of hospitals, well-being and life-threatening working conditions with many health care workers (HCWs) leaving their jobs, leading to mental and physical health issues among laboratory technicians, medical doctors, nurses, and nurse aides, due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. Twelve healthcare workers (3 laboratory technicians, 3 medical doctors, 3 nurses, & 3 nurse aides), will participate in semi-structured interviews. The purpose of the interviews is to identify root cause of the overcrowding of hospitals and life-threatening working conditions among laboratory technicians, medical doctors, nurses, and nurse aides that make them leave their jobs leading to mental and physical health issues. The outcome of the study would create a potential solution to mental and physical health issues, overcrowding of hospitals and high rate of migration among laboratory technicians, medical doctors, nurses, and nurse aides.
