Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to develop your capabilities of working as a team while applying Organizational Behavior (OB) concepts in analyzing a business case.

The Assignment: Your team will act as consultants who are reviewing the organizational situation in your assigned case and will analyze the problems as well as make recommendations to improve the organization. Students are offered the opportunity to request 4-5 team members no later than Week 7 and your Professor will do their best to accommodate requests.

Your team will be assigned a case out of "Additional Cases" listed at the end of the eText. This assignment is to be created in PowerPoint and uploaded onto eConestoga by the assigned date.

Team Charter: In Week 9 you will learn about Team Effectiveness and apply these concepts to developing a Team Charter. The Team Charter is due by Week 10 to the designated Assignment folder and is worth 2%.

Format:

The presentation will include:

• A Title Page (1 slide) with team member name
• A Summary of the Case (1-2 slides) that states only those case factors which have a direct bearing on your analysis.
• Root Problem Analysis (1 slide per Root Problem). In this section you will outline the Root Problems and their related Symptoms, using at least three OB concepts to describe each (same format as Mini Case Assignment).
• Recommendations (1 slide per Root Problem plus 1 final slide for top recommendations): In this section you will use the chart template to indicate at least two recommendations for each root problem, the pros and cons, and OB concept to explain the recommendation. On the final slide outline the top three recommendations from your analysis.
